To contrast
the conventional function of
clothing as a protective shield/ mask, I designed
garments that seek to do the opposite—to engage the body with
an environmental force, using the interface of clothing to accentuate
rather than diminish that force. Specifically, they are meant to call
attention to and interact with the wind. They embrace volatility,
transferring some of the control of the body’s movement from
the wearer to the force of the wind.
