Goals of the BEInG
The BEInG has several goals at MIT for the academic year 2004-2005:
- 1) provide a set of resources for students working on theses or class presentations on topics related to biological energy. resources will include:
- Endnote reference lists for relevant books, research papers and reviews
- concepts, models, calculations and background information
- links to other web resources
- a shared collection of powerpoint slides for use in class presentations and seminars
- 2) put together (or assist) a team competing in the MIT 50K competition:
- H2 from water and sunlight
- value added products from CO2.
- 3) host speakers from on and off campus
- 4) pilot project - make a small photobioreactor producing enough hydrogen to supply a fuel cell powering a remote control model car or laptop computer
