My interests lie in the fields of kinematics, mechanics, dynamics & controls, and the application of these engineering sciences to the design of Precision Mechatronic Systems. The objective in precision mechatronic design is to develop a machine, mechanism, robot, or a system in a deterministic fashion so as to ensure performance at lower costs. Such multidisciplinary design can only be realized by following a systematic approach based on modeling, simulation and experimentation. In my design approach, I strive to maintain a balance between analysis and synthesis, between innovation and mathematical rigor, and between hardware prototyping and software skills. This approach has resulted in a wide range of interesting work which has been summarized in subsequent pages. The following links provide details of my research and work experience grouped in a reverse chronological fashion.
