Dr. Fred Moavenzadeh – BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Dr. Fred Moavenzadeh is James Mason Crafts Professor of Engineering Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is Director of the Technology and Development Program at MIT. His professional field of interest is construction engineering and management, with a primary focus on international construction, construction finance, strategic management, large scale construction systems, and environmental markets for construction. Over the past 30 years, he has directed a series of research programs and has served as consultant to major construction firms on: international construction finance; merger and acquisition in the construction industry; and strategic planning, construction technology, and project planning and evaluation. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Construction Business Review, a journal for construction executives. He is the author and co-author of five books including Encyclopedia of Building Materials and Global Construction and the Environment. He has published over three hundred professional articles. He has served in advisory capacity and consultant to several institutional agencies including World Bank, UNIDO, UNCHP, GIF Japan and Governments of Singapore, Kuwait, and Colombia.
