Subject: Links to Project Collaboration and Distance Learning at Stanford

Hi,

Here are some links that followup on your interest in project based collaboration and long distance project sharing.   You should be aware of these efforts as they sound similar to what you described in class.

CIFE is Stanford's Center for Integrated Facility Engineering.

Renate Fruchter is the leader of a group that has been doing collaborative design and remote teaching for several years.  I believe that this year Renate has 42 students from 7-8 counties, all taking the course remotely.

The Project Based Learning lab is analogous to what you are thinking about, I believe.

There is also a link to other CIFE research.

Hope this helps,

John
