Position: QA/QC Manager
Field: Chemistry
Reason for taking course:
Currently, I am employed in a middle management
position at Genzyme Transgenics Corporation, which is small biotechnology
company. The general management style at the company is team-based with
each project team comprised of the senior members from each functional
group. Being the most senior individual within the Quality Control function,
I am required to interact with senior management (e.g., Vice Presidents,
and CEO) and, in some cases, function as team leader. On occasion, my
suggestions
were not immediately accepted due to my reluctance to take a leadership
position. I believe that this course will provide the necessary guidance
to further improve my communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
