Course 10.27 will Teach you Safety Procedures


Working well on a project includes working safely in the laboratory, and safety is an inherent part of Course 10.27. Since your experiments evolve throughout the semester, safety analysis is a continual part of the operation. Safety instruction starts with a lecture at the beginning of the term. You'll get a copy of the ACS manual Safety in Academic Chemistry Laboratories. Among the Faculty for Course 10.27 are a members of the Department Safety Committee; safety during class is monitored by both faculty and teaching assistants. You'll be expected to be familiar with the potential hazards of your experiments and to operate safely at all times.
