Course 10.27 Gives you the Chance to Use Some Awesome State-of-the Art Lab Toys

The main laboratory in Building 66 has space for conducting varied projects in chemical engineering: a mix of benches and open space, with fume hoods, high bays, and utilities. We also have laboratories in Building 16 where some of the experiments are set up. We have a dedicated machine shop for making or modifying equipment. The Department has a selection of analytical equipment, including a number of gas chromatographs, an atomic absorption spectrophotometer, IR and UV/Vis spectrophotometers, a vibrating tube densitometer, a polarimeter, an ICP spectrophotometer, a Pressure Swing Adsorption unit, a Multicell Diffusion apparatus, several chemical and biochemical reactors and a Millipore Continuous Deionization device, etc. Other tools located outside our Department can be accessed if needed, including GCMS and electron microscopes.
