ArcGIS > Select by Attributes

1. Go to Selection->Select By Attributes...

2. We'll select two major roads: Massachusetts Ave. (Route Number or Alternative Route Number is 2A) and Mount Auburn Street. Type the criteria as following: "RT_NUMBER" = '2A' OR "ALTRTNUM1" = '2A' OR "STREET_NAM" = 'MOUNT AUBURN STREET'. You can double-click on the "Fields" names and "Unique values" to add them to the query window. If you can't find the value you are looking for under "Unique Values," click on "Complete List" to see the whole database.

3. The result should look like the following.
