SPSS > Select Cases1. Go to Data-> Select Cases... to reduce the database to only a selected set before analysis.
2. Check "If condition is satisfied" and then click the "If ..." button.
3. Set the criteria as (clwkr > 0 and clwkr < 6) and (unittype = 0) and (weeks >= 50) and (hours >= 35) as shown below. By doing so, we select full-time workers in the private or public sector who live in individual housing units (as opposed to group quarters).
4. After we select cases you will see diagonal lines on some records. The marked records will not be used in any subsequent ananlysis.
