• Lab tips:
  • Set your 'scratch workspace' to c:\usertemp\arcscratch for improved performance in 37-312 (and on cron machines)
  • Move large shapefiles to c:\usertemp\myproject for computation intensive tasks (and then back when done)
  • Save your work early and often!
• Title and Abstract
• You can continue to revise the Google Docs title+abstract spreadsheet of your title/abstract during the week
• Do you have all the data you need?
  • That is, have you revised project to need only the data you have?
• Do you need to use the GIS lab in the MIT Rotch Libraryfor
  • time series census data (from the GeoLytics CD)
  • ESRI's US streetmap for address matching?
  • GIS services help available Mon-Thurs. 12:30 - 4 pm
  • Lisa Sweeney is available today 3-4 pm
