- Lab tips:
- Set your 'scratch workspace' to c:\usertemp\arcscratch for
improved performance in 37-312 (and on cron machines)
- Move large shapefiles to c:\usertemp\myproject for computation
intensive tasks (and then back when done)
- Save your work early and often!
- Do you have all the data you need?
- That is, have you revised project to need only the data you have?
- Do you need to use the GIS lab in the MIT Rotch Libraryfor
- time series census data (from the GeoLytics CD)
- ESRI's US streetmap for address matching?
- GIS services help available Mon-Thurs. 12:30 - 4 pm
- Lisa Sweeney is available today 3-4 pm

- Bring a flash drive version of the presentation to class
- We will need volunteers to go on the first day (Monday, Dec. 6) and outside the 2-3:30 Wed. time slot in order to fit everyone in during the available times
