The Station

The goal of the Atlantis 1 Project was to design a permanent, manned underwater research facility for use in the Blue Hole located in the coral reef off the coast of Belize. The focus of this section is on the structure and operation of the habitat. The design of the station consists of three major components the exterior, the interior, and the systems as well additional considerations. Detailed descriptions of these are accessible by clicking the appropriate links on the left.
