Mission 2006 project is officially over. The presentation was successfully held last Friday. I think it depicted in summary what everybody has done to ensure  the success of this project. Updates as of 11-29- 02

A new approach has been proposed to tackle the characterisation of the Amazon Basin Rainforest . The aim of this is essentially to come up with solutions which will be applied to distinct areas. New groups have therefore been formed and reflect such as specific aspects as Logging, Pollution, Mining and Transport.  I have been assigned to the mining group together with

• A characterisation of Soil Contamination is now ioncluded in this website. This outlines how soil contamination is going to fit into the whole project.
• Some synthesis of the research undertaken has been done here
