Climate, The

The Galapagos has two seasons caused by the nutrient rich Humboldt stream. In the months of July to January, the Humboldt current provides cold water from the South, which allows cooler and drier water and air. Sometimes foggy conditions occur, called a garúa. The other season is dominated by warm Northern water, with clearer skies and occasional rain showers.
