* -- From Galapagos Islands
*F -- From Floreana
*E -- From Hood (Espanola)

above information from <http://www.iucnredlist.org>

Important Information:
-has a relatively small population and is endemic to the Galapagos
-Threats: Invasive Species(feral cats), Human Influences(illegal hunting)
-according to Birdlife International, there are currently between 400 and 500 adults and the population is stable; now extinct on five islands where it once resided
-ecological information according to Birdlife International
    -its diet consists of "sea and landbirds, rats, lizards, iguanas, invertebrates and carrion"
    -nests all through the year
    -one female mates with a few (2,3) males, and males help raise chicks

Solutions
-monitor situation -- populations are small and hard to monitor, but continue recording
-actively try to stop or reduce illegal hunting/gathering by humans (I still unclear why they are being hunted)
-possibly try to re-introduce them to islands they once populated
