- we would not have to worry about trying to get large populatio of natives to migrate.
- less damage to the environment; not disturbing  any more land

- inexpensive land
- deep water > may not have to answer to Ecuador
- off-shore > just giving Ecuador more land

- strengthened by mixing in wood pulp as it freezes
- 14 % wood pulp
-1 inch column can support a car
- minimal impact of boiling water on the material
- EXTREMELY STRONG (Collins)
IRON, STEEL
- offshore floating marine town  in Japan made of steel for fishing successful (Offshore)
- 4000 meter iron runway for jumbo jets planned in Japan; considered very feasible (Floating)
