Your TAs:

Seth Burgess was born and raised in northern California and relocated in 2007 to begin graduate work at MIT. His prior education includes a Bachelors degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a M.S. in geology from San Jose State University. At MIT, Seth works with Dr. Sam Bowring in the EAPS geochronology lab.

Your UTFs:

Adam Bockelie is from Salt Lake City and grew up skiing, hiking, and rafting. He spent eight years ski racing for the Snowbird Ski Team, and was a member of the MIT Ski Team and Freshman Crew Team. He's an Environmental Engineering major.   Zach Barryte is from California and is majoring in digital animation (21e/6) and environmental engineering (1e) and was in Mission 2013. He is also mostly a nice person and probably respects you. He promotes creativity and support the arts.

Allison Schneider is a sophomore in Course 12 (Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Science). She enjoys stabbing people with swords as part of the Shakespeare Ensemble and shooting them with Nerf guns in the Assassins' Guild. She's from New York, and wants one day to live in the American Museum of Natural History.   Tracey Hayse is from Lexington, Kentucky! She is currently a junior majoring in Course 1E, Environmental Engineering. Tracey took the Terrascope Radio class and looks forward to continuing to work with radio through the new Terrascope Youth Radio program.

Nikita Consul is a sophomore in course 10B, or Chemical Biological Engineering, planning to minor in Biology and Applied International Studies. She always loved to learn about ecology and weather/climate, although she takes fresh water for granted because she is from Michigan, home of the Great Lakes. She loves dancing, painting, and UROPing.

Elise Hens is a sophomore this year in Environmental Engineering (1E) and wants to minor in Energy. She was a part of Mission 2012 and the water crisis, which was tons of fun! She hails from Colorado and loves the East Coast. She is involved with her new sorority, dancing, and just having fun!

Julia Kimmerly is a sophomore from rural Vermont (go cows!). She is a Course 2A (Mechanical Engineering) major with a concentration in energy and loved Mission 2013 and 1.016. She likes to organize, be outside, dance, and try to save the world (sometimes simultaneously).   Ruaridh Macdonald is a sophomore from London, UK, studying Nuclear Science and Engineering (course 22!) here at MIT. He was involved in both projects last year and greatly enjoyed both. He also worked in a group this summer who investigated using CO2 for seasonal energy storage.

Lauren Kuntz is a sophomore from Pittsburgh, PA and is majoring in course 2. Outside of being enthused by Terrascope, and thoroughly convinced that her experiences in the class last year were what made her MIT experience so incredible thus far, she enjoys pole vaulting for MIT's Track and Field team.   Yangbo Du is a second-year major in economics and in his fourth year of research in energy economics and policy. As part of the MIT Nuclear Fuel Cycle Study group, his recent work included an update to the economics section of the 2003 MIT report Future of Nuclear Power and characterization summaries of fission-fusion hybrid reactors for spent nuclear fuel management.

Kenya Mejia is from sunny California. She is a sophomore currently undeclared but considering course 1 and 11. She enjoyed doing both Mission 2013 and Terrascope Radio and looks forward to UTFing this Fall. Kenya also enjoys baking, playing volleyball and being outside.

Alex Jordan was born and raised in northern California and relocated in 2007 to begin undergraduate work at MIT. Her prior education includes a high school diploma from C.K. McClatchy High School. At MIT, Alex is majoring in EAPS and Political Science.

Charlotte Herhold is a sophomore and plans to double-major in Nuclear Science and Engineering (Course 22) and History (Course 21H). On campus she is involved in her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and the Lightweight Women's Rowing team. Charlotte hails from Denver, Colorado and loves to ski, workout, and read ridiculously large history books for fun.   Laura Matloff is a sophomore in from California's San Francisco Bay Area and is majoring in mechanical engineering (course 2). She likes hiking, playing guitar and building blanket forts in her room during the winter.
