In this geologic map of the western United States you can see the fault-bounded block-uplifts in the Rockies of Colorado and Wyoming. It is also interesting to recognize the same forms occurring in Central Arizona. This is the Maria Fold and Thrust belt, but it is oriented East-West instead of North-South like the rest of the Rockies.
