Here's a better-than-usual sample CCD image recorded from the MIT campus using our equipment, showing planet Jupiter during the comet impacts of 1994 July. Image processing was used to enhance the contrast so that the dark "bruises" on Jupiter from the impacts of the "G" and "L" fragments of comet P/Shoemaker-Levy 9 are easily visible.
