The following are the questions and answers (or my best trials) so far.

  1. The font and background colors of SDL help pages hurt my eyes.

I will remove the color related tags on SDL pages. The workaround before I correct all of those pages would be to override the document specified colors by checking "always use my colors, overriding document" in Edit>Preferences>Appearance>Colors in Netscape's menu.

  2. The SIGN event doesn't have speed limit signs. How can I put one.

Please use SOBJ event. The 3D models for speed limit signs are located in the C:/STISIM/Data/Signs/. There are other 3D models in the Data directory.

  3. How will our 4 (or 3) sections be mixed with others?

I was originally thinking that I would randomly join the ~12 sections from 3 groups. However, since I don't want to impose artificial limit on your experiment design, I can keep your 4 sections in the order you want, or you can give me one 8000ft PDE file. Please leave a README in your group directory about how I should join your PDEs.

  4. Is it possbile to give visual warning on the screen?

Although you cannot have letters or signs that stays fixed on the screen, you can have something pop up if you make "appear at" distance small.

  5. The brake is not working!

The break pedal and optical encoder were not properly connected. This has been fixed last night, we have brake now.

  6. The speedometer on the screen and the speedometer in the car indicate different speed.

I asked the supervisor of the simulator to fix this problem. She will call technician who installed the speedometer, but I don't know when it will be fixed. The one on the screen is the correct speed since it is displayed by the simulator directly.
