Through much searching and communication with other MIT students, I finally found a graph on the web. The graph displays the stock investments of a particular company, comparing the present day with the day before. To view a graph of this sort, go to Netscape and click on "Net Search." When the next screen appears, click on "Stock Quotes." In the horizontal box, type in the name of a company, such as Alltel Corporation or Helmerich Payne and then click on seek. On the next screen, click on "Historical Graphs" in the options box. Finally click on "Plot Graph."
The line graphs plotting stock comparisons of two consecutive days seem
to be fairly accurate. Listed features presented with a particular company's
graph include Last Price, Net Charge, Volume, and Date. I have observed
several companies graphs, all of which seem to be reasonable. In addition,
the graphs are significant and necessary for stockholders to easily view
the change in their stock invested with a company. The graphs prove to
be effective tools for stockholders.
