Why Use the J-Box?
J-Box stands for "Juku Box," and serves as an alternative for both juku and yobiko Schools. You and the J-Box will learn together at home. The J-Box makes drills more fun through games. It saves time because you don't have to waste time going back and forth to a physical school. Also, if you don't want to put an excessive burden on your parents with expensive juku and yobiko school tuition, maybe this is the better choice for you.

On-line Competitions
Enter on-line competitions with other J-Box users. We will have real-time on-line competitions with prizes, some of which are donated by our affiliated keiretsu, Mitsubishi Electric. Anyone with a J-Box and an internet connection is eligible to enter. Even if you don't want to enter, you can still connect to our servers through the J-Box and watch real-time competitions as they happen. All quiz questions will be based solely on drills and information from our J-Box courses. We will have J-Box competitions on the last Sunday of every month, so get your J-Box as soon as possible and begin preparing. This is one way that the makers of J-Box would like to encourage you to study.

Improve Your English Skills
Do you want to practice your English skills? The J-Box can connect you to our tutors in America. Speak to real Americans through our J-Box. There are two options. You can chat through type-speak, or you actually talk face to face with an American. Our J-Box has an optional component that allows you to transmit your image and voice data to America where a real American will transmit similar information to your J-Box. Hear what a real American accent sounds like. Hear about American culture from a real American. Don't worry about expensive study-abroad programs.

How to Use the J-Box
The first thing you should do is pick what you want to learn. For those studying for a high school or university test, J-Box provides a seemingly endless pool of information based on past tests. Learn material through pre-recorded lectures and drill yourself through games and practice tests. For those who want to focus on a particular subject, we offer various chips with similar games, drills, and informational lectures. We offer various courses in mathematics, social studies, Japanese, science, and English. Finally, J-Box can be used both off-line and while plugged into the Internet.

If you choose the off-line version of the J-Box, you can start studying right away at home, without anything except youself, a monitor, and your J-Box starter kit. We have programmed the J-Box to allow you to drill yourself once you set it up. Each J-box kit will include various interchangeable chips (depending on your subject selection) with many drills and problems to test and further your knowledge. You will still be able to enter our on-line competitions, but you will not have access to other resources available through our servers.

If you want to study primarily while on-line, you'll have all the off-line version's options as well as the option to connect to our servers for even more resources. First of all, our product will allow you to meet other J-Box users and chat in real-time. Don't be shy, talk to each other and learn from each other. You'll be a part of a real on-line community. Also, if you're struggling with drills or a certain subject, you can enter a tutor request queue during special hours. We'll get to your question as soon as possible. Also, if you get through all the drills and problems on the chips we've provided, you can connect to our servers and get more. We want you to do well!

Also for on-line users, you'll have the option of being set up in small groups of four or five J-Box users. Your own little "han" can be there for you, to make you feel more at home as you study.
