This class is the second subject of two-term sequence on
modeling,analysis and control of dynamic systems.
Below is an overview of the material that should be covered.
For all the tests, the exam policy is the following:
- In class exams.
- Closed-Books and Closed-Notes
- Most important formulae will be provided appended to the exam
problems.
None required. The following books are placed on reserve in Barker
Library.
A. Bedford & W. Fowler, Dynamics,Addison-Wesley, 1995
W. J. Palm, III, Modeling, Analysis, and Control of Dynamic
Systems, 2nd edition, John Wiley
Additionally, we recommend the following book: J. H. Williams,
Jr., Fundamentals of Applied Dynamics, John Wiley, 1996.
Problem sets are generally assigned on a weekly basis. No late
homework will
be accepted. We honestly believe that it's necessary for you to
try and and think about them alone, in order to understand the
material. You're allowed to discuss problems with your friends but to
weriteup has to be your own.
When we compute your final grade, we'll only take the
homeworks into account (as 10% of your grade ) if it improves your
overall grade.
