The idea area for each team is listed below. Links are provided to see and review the posters/presentations for
each section. You may also see all
posters together on the same page. Feel free to offer
suggestions to your classmates. By the end of Tuesday morning, you will receive comments
from at least 3 course staff members.
The themes were defined collectively by the course staff after your presentations. Your team's theme area was chosen to reflect a promising
need expressed by your team, not a specific solution approach.
Examples of ideas that were proposed and fit the chosen idea area are provided, but you should not be constrained to those specific ideas. Your assigned idea area should focus your effort more narrowly, but to still leave your team with the flexibility to explore several avenues of interest within the area. As you learn more your ideas will evolve. It is quite unlikely that any one idea as sketched on your
posters will survive in its current form: it is too risky to commit to a specific idea embodiment until our understanding of the idea areas are deeper.
The next step is a more focused and more detailed exploration of
ideas within your theme. You will certainly want to consider new ideas within the theme, or even ideas proposed by other teams that no longer fit their theme. A critical step in generating more refined ideas will be making a strong connection with potential users/clients and clearly articulating specific needs to be addressed. Please see the sketch model review for additional information.
If you have any questions please contact the course instructor.
