Lab Information

Fall 2007

There is a lab section for this course. It takes place at the MIT Propeller Tunnel and MIT Tow Tank. The labs are designed each year to incorporate the information from the course into a complete package. This semester, our Labs will cover ANALYSIS OF FLOW AROUND A HYDROFOIL (Assignment A), VORTEX-INDUCED VIBRATIONS OF A CYLINDER, and SURFACE WAVE KINEMATICS (Assignment B).

You will work together with your lab-group/ study-group for the two lab experiments but individual lab reports are required. The lab portion is important since it covers significant course objectives and determines an entire 10% of your final grade. Please read the Lab Announcement and the Lab Report Policy.
