The appearance of our ‘control room’ is inspired by real nuclear power plant control rooms. In real life (seen in this video), these rooms are extremely cluttered with indicator lights and control knobs, buttons, etc. Our room is somewhat simpler to help ensure that the room’s participants know exactly what they need to focus on. For surfaces that are not active parts of the game, colors will be muted to help channel focus to the crane itself. In implementation, the texture of the paint will be important to make it reasonably look like metal, and we may also wish to add rust streaks to contribute to the feel of an aging, decrepit plant.
