The targets are lightweight cutouts of items you would typically find in a saloon e.g. a bottle. They feature a bullseye-like target with a sensor in the middle that detects when the pistol's beam hits it.
The flipping version of the targets attaches the targets to a motor-actuated axle. The motor then turns to either flip the target down when it has been hit or flip it up to bring the target back or reset the room. All of this can be done automatically.
