The Experience

Introduction

As the population of Boston continually grows so does the number of passengers that pass through MBTA stations to ride the subway. Regular T riders usually own CharlieCards, automatic fare collecting smart cards that can be simply scanned on readers at the turnstile to pay subway fairs. While convenient and fast most of the time, riders have to occasionally refill their CharlieCards at fare vending machines located in subway stations. As more and more people are passing thoruhgt subway stations every day and riders are on thier morning or afternoon commute, the refill process must be intuitive and efficient. Lets take a look at the CharlieCard refill process to see if it was really designed for human-use.
