This look-like model is built to define the look of a critical instrument piece in the room. The main structure is cut out of pink foam and sandwiched between cardboards. The model has a dimension of 30cm*30cm*40cm, which is about 1/2 of the actual size.
On the pandora’s box, there are a series of codes consisting of different greek letters. If players are observant, they will notice that the same greek letters are printed underneath each lye string, so they have to remember the order of letters on the box and then play the strings in the corresponding order. The actual lyre will have electromagnetic strings that generate voltage when they are touched, thus allowing the microcontroller to determine wether the actual notes are played.
In order to emphasize the elegance and majesty of our greek mythology theme, the instrument was painted metallic gold and decorated with gold flowers.
