Cranking

To test the gameplay of this gag, a DC motor is converted to a generator and connected to an Arduino. The Arduino measures the voltage and compares it to a threshold value that we varied to alter the difficulty of the play. With user testing, we found an optimal voltage value that wasn't too difficult or too easy but this value will most likely change in the final product due to changes in handle length and form factor. The code was edited to self reset after a period of inactivity and that time frame was tested with users to find a time that was not frustrating if it self reset during the play itself.

Display

The motor will power up a 'computer' screen that displays instructions for the users to read. The cranking generates more power and users will have to provide enough power for all the words to spell out. The delay between the letters was tested to find an optimal delay that was satisifying and not frustrating for users.
