Firework Crafting Chamber Looks-like Model

Full of looks-like model
The table is 6 feet around and approximately 3.5 feet tall. It is a cylinder to prevent people from going under it and to leave ample room for supports and the light equipment. Our sketch model has the dials on the top of the table, but a potential variation is to put them on the side to make the game slightly more challenging as you cannot see the dials on the opposite side of the table.
Dial close up
Initial Concept
Our sketch model features continuously rotating dials with three values marked out on them.
Actual Model
In our final model, we want to have the dials be part of a switch with three tactile levels so it is clear when the players have set the dial to an acceptable value. We decided that each dial should have three values for high, medium, and low, but this can be increased to increase the difficulty of the puzzle. The dials do not have values labeled on them because an essential part of the reset is that the dial position to color value association is scrambled.
View of timer fuse layout
Initial Concept
The fuses spiral out from the middle so that the end of one fuse is radially aligned with the beginning of the next. Our puzzle is possible to brute force so we tied our failure mechanism to a timer. We that a fuse will create tension as the adventurers watch it get closer and closer to ignition.
Actual Model
In the final build, the spirals would be routed into the tabletop. They will be covered with semicircular clear tubing. The illusion that the fuse is burning down can be accomplished one of two ways. First, a strip of LEDs can be wired so they illuminate one by one. Alternatively, a three bladed fan will be mounted under the table top. Each blade has a continuously lit strip of LEDs. As the fan rotates, the portion visible through the cutouts will appear to move closer to the setup. No reset is required for this as once one group solves the puzzle, the fan will just continue rotating until the blades are aligned with the next fuse.
View of rocket models
Initial Concept
The adventurers will get 1 star if they solve 1 rocket, 2 for 2, and 3 for 3 within the time limit. If the players win, they will hear the sounds of fireworks and celebration. Potentially, the number of fireworks they hear depends on how successful they were. If they fail, they will hear an explosive BOOM because they were not able to mix firework ingredients successfully.
Actual Model
The nose color of the rockets should be chosen to match LED colors. The base of the rocket should be the same color as the nose cone. They need to be decorated with traditional Chinese motifs to relate them to the theme (ie, dragon, phoenix, lion).
