Dictator's Hall

A Storyboard by Sami Yamani

First Observations

Proud of winning the Infiltration Attack room, players enter the dictator's hall. However, the first scene surprises them. A voice tells them that it was a trap and they are locked in a room with the smoke machine on. They will die in the room if they cannot find the way out. Note that there will be smoke machine that starts producing smoke at low rate in the room after the voice notifies the players that they were tricked.

Examining the Room

Players try to examine the room to find a way out. As some of the books in the bookshelves look different from others, players start thinking that pressing the books may open a path. As, they press the first book, one of the closet doors opens half way (this won't be enough for a person to pass through it). The players think that pressing books is the key and start pressing more books.

Losing Scenario

However, pressing the second and third book does not have the same result. In constrast, pressing these books increases the amount of smoke in the room and the door closes and players realize that they have lost.

Learning from the Mistake

After losing one or two times, players realize that pressing more books might not be the solution. So, they strat looking for something else in the room. They realize that rotating the eagles on the desk until they click is the solution. When all the four eagles click, the smoke machine stops, the closet door fully opens and the players find their way out.

Success Scenario

Players win and think that the key was to first press the book and then rotate the eagles. Note that this room is designed such that if the rotation of eagles is the first finding by the players, the rotation of the first eagle opens the closet door half way but rotation of more than one eagle results the same as pressing all the books in the above shown scenario. In the alternative scenario, players have to rotate the first eagle and then press books to open the closet door completely.
