Infiltration Attack
A Storyboard by Sami Yamani
Room Entrance
The game is inspired by the story of the first allied forces that arrived at Berlin in April 1945 and the entrance of the room is designed in this way. The sybolism is changed in order to avoid any issue, but flags are worn and there are bullet signs on the walls to give the impression that that the city is about to fall.
First Observations
Players enter the room. It is assumed that the operation is carried out during the night. Thus, The room is dark, except for the end of the room where there is light on the door that is closing automatically at a slow speed. Suddenly, players hear a voice saying "Flare!" and the room becomes bright. This is similar to a war environemnt when they use flares at night to patrol and detect any movements by the enemy.
Losing Scenario
Players initially think that they should move towards the door; however, the during the flare time any moving object with height more than approximately 30 cm will be detected. If players don't lay down or hide under the obstacles, a voice will say "I saw them" and another voice will say "shoot them" and the players lose.
Learning from the Mistake
After first or second time of losing, players will understand that they should lay down during the flare time and they should move towards the door when the room is dark. There are obstacles and safe brabed wire that players need to jump to avoid them. Note that the room will not be absolutely dark during the no flare period. There will be just enough light to see the obstacles.
Success Scenario
When the first person, reaches the door, he/she can hold the door and not to allow it to be fully closed, while waiting for his/her teammates to join. Note that the players will lose if the door fully closes. The speed of the closing door and the number and/or duration of flares can be adjusted to guarantee a ceratin success rate.
