Eyes of the Jolly Roger

Upon entering the room, the torches light up illuminating a wide open room with a treasure chest at the far end.

A big Jolly Roger stood above the treasure chest as though it was protecting it. Drawn to the treasures within the chest, a huge blue sparkling diamond sits on top of a pile of gold doubloons.

As the crew wonders what type of traps lay in front of them, the eyes of the Jolly Roger grew bright as though there were flames dancing within.

A loud voice rang out,"The eyes of the Jolly Roger sees all MOVEMENTS! Steal the Diamond if you can!" After ringing out, the flames dimmed and were extinguished. A few seconds later, the eyes burned again before it was put out again.

"Aha! we just have to make sure that we don't move when the its eyes are open! We just have to grab that diamond!"

Realizing the trick behind the Jolly Roger, the whole crew started to run towards the treasure chest when the eyes were closed. The moment the eyes blazed open, they came to an abrupt halt and stood still hoping that the Jolly Roger would not be able to see them.

It seems as they got closer, the eyes began to open and close more rapidly, as though the Jolly Roger sensed that intruders were closing in to its treasures.

As one of the crew ran for the treasure, the eyes suddenly blazed open. Caught by surprise, he could not stop in time. A huge voice rang out, "Intruders! You will never get my treasures!".

The treasure chest began to close, locking its treasures within. Never to be seen again. The crew could only hope to come back another time.

The pirates kept trying and they were so close! After a long and anxious wait, the eyes were finally closed. Breathing a sigh of relief, the captain puts forward his hand and touched the diamond.

Suddenly, the Eyes blazed open with even greater intensity. "You dare to steal my prized possession? The diamond of the Gods will never leave this place!"

As the Jolly Roger yelled in anger, he suddenly noticed that the diamond seems to be glowing brighter and brighter.

Overcomed with fear, he exclaimed,"Nooo, Wait! Stop that! My Eyes! Turn it Off!! ARRRRRGGGHHH!" The voice of the Jolly Roger faded into the distance. The crew hears a click and realize the door has been unlocked and they could finally leave with the huge trove of treasures.
