These models looks pretty sound. I think you are going in the right direction with your construction of the well and platform. Perhaps the trickiest part of the build will be the roundness of the well. If you run into trouble, maybe a octagon simplifies this? I like the round, but maybe that would be a good backup. I know the metal bands are a more "traditional" style of making a barrel etc, but maybe something like wacky-wood would be easier to work with than the metal.

Looks good! Nice job.

Reviewer 2:

it be great if you clearly explained how you would make some of the elements like the egg, claw, tentacles...

i like your BoM, but need to see sensors (which are not available) to understand how every element interacts with each other

you're missing a lot of detailed mechanism of how things interact with each other. ie basket/tentacle/claw and wall...

also, your link brought me to the wrong page (storyboard)

In your rendering of the well, it is unclear where the ropes go between the user and the bottom of the well. Are there holes that the ropes go through that constrains their movement, or are they free to move along the circumference of the well? Making them free to move along will allow for a smaller number of users to complete this challenge because each person can grab multiple ropes. On the other hand, the ropes can get tangled with each other, requiring more maintenance. I was also wondering whether the eggs need to each be placed in separate nests or it is completely up to the users. Making it so each egg has to be placed in one nest will require you to implement some kind of sensing for the weight or ID of the egg, but this will make the game more challenging.

The model CAD renderings do a great job of explaining the proportions and features of the room. I am concerned that the room design and well CAD model do not agree with respect to the shape of the well... is it the circle of the CAD or the octagon described in the Room Design tab? As to the bill of materials, a review of the inches and feet convention is needed (not consistent across the table). Given that most of the parts included have a size component, I would add that as a parameter and specify the thickness of the material within the main description column. As the list grows, consider adding a subsystem parameter that allows grouping by assembly and a parameter that tracks status (chose, ordered, arrived, integrated).

Bill of materials is really thorough! Puts you guys in a great place to start building. Design of the well (2x4s with metal rings) looks good. Plastic on the top is also a good idea!

an animation would have been really helpful to see how your system works together. otherwise, the images are pretty good.

I like the design of the well, as it looks undoubtedly like a well. I am curious to see how you will achieve the 2.5D surface finish of the well walls. Will you place foam-like parts on the side of the well walls and paint it to resemble stones? I wish you had explored the design of the egg nests. Will they simply be bowls at the edge of the wells? I think it may be more interesting and intuitive to the users if the nests look like real nests made of twigs and natural materials that the monster has acquired.

Reviewer 4:

The renderings are well thought out and aid the user in clarifying the graphic feel questions of the room. In particular, the render of the well in the context of the room helps the user understand the reason for the step. The outer wall of the well is fully explained by the fourth render where the outer shell is stripped from half of the structure. If you adopt the octagon well structure, I would recommend adopting wood sheets for the external faces of the prototype.

Reviewer 5:

Well looks good and the sizing (with the step) seems reasonable. I like the reset of having the baskets dump the eggs back onto the bottom.
