Comments on function-related aspects

Client 1:

I've seen telephones and alarms before, so I know that they can both be built (or bought)

Reviewer 3:

Alarm has a bit of explanation but Telephone doesn't really provide much insight as only a simple model is shown.

It would be helpful to see more detail as to the movable components of these devices to understand how they will be fabricated and assembled.

Reviewer 4:

The design is really simple and feasible, which I think is great in thinking about how to make something practical for the room. I'm wondering exactly what the speaker entails and what is exactly in the lights- LEDs? A bill of materials would have been helpful here.

Reviewer 5:

I think that the device is very simple to make, and no problems could be encountered in terms of the functioning of a device with a simple switch actuated alarm. The simple design suggested also seems to be robust.

I could have commented in more detail if the exact switching mechanism with the wiring could have been displayed.

Comments on form-related aspects

Client 1:

The telephone rendering does not seem like it is finished - it is missing the hand piece. The alarm rendering is good.

Reviewer 2:

From the CAD I think the shape and form of the alarm does look like a fire alarm and comes across well. The telephone however I think is missing the key part that makes it look like a telephone? Also it would be nice to see how you considered some key factors like size, material, how people would interact with it, etc.?

Reviewer 4:

Rendering is nice- I'm glad it was rendered with color so you understand that the light will flash red. Wondering 1. How big this light/speaker is in comparison to the room and comparison to a person and 2. Where it sits in the room and in the wall. I think that will help get a better understanding of how it fits in the user experience- so maybe rendering it in its position on the wall. I see in the room rendering but some dimensionality would be nice.

Reviewer 5:

In my opinion, the renders could be modified to look from the time represented by the storyboard. Pressing the alarm button is an essential component of the gameplay. It is important that the alarm looks exciting enough for someone to fiddle with.
