projector console concept sketch comments

Reviewer 1:

The drawing is nice but I don't really get what's the function of this device and how it works.

Reviewer 2:

The lack of buttons and sleek design of the console gives off a futuristic vibe, but I am confused how the player is supposed to interact with the console.

Reviewer 3:

I am not quite sure what this is. It says that it is a projector console, but I am not sure where the projections comes from. There appears to be a map or some sort of controls on the top, but I am not sure. The design looks very industrial and does not make me think of sci-fi.

Client 4:

Nice drawing, though I'm not completely clear on what is intended -- were there supposed to be words/annotations that didn't get displayed?

Reviewer 5:

I think I may have missed something here. I don't quite understand the design or how the users will use it since there is no descriptions. I do like the two-point perspective drawing.

constellation identification concept sketch comments

Reviewer 1:

I'm not really sure how it works. Is there any relationship between the yellow circle on the wall and the yellow circle in the console panel? It would be better if there's some arrow and description in the drawing. But I really like the idea of constellation identification. It's an attracting topic.

Reviewer 2:

A large wall looking out into the constellations accentuates the feeling of being in space. I am confused about the yellow circle.

I do not understand what it means.

Is the constellation within that area?

How do you "identify" the constellations? Is there a method to select them or a way to know which constellations to look for?

Reviewer 3:

This shows a clear depiction of a ceiling mounted projector displaying constellations on the wall for visitors. The center console makes me think that the previous concept is not a projector but rather the controls.

Client 4:

Projection from a ceiling mounted projector appears to be a good way to achieve this effect robustly and simply.

Reviewer 5:

Where does the yellow circle form? Does it come from the station? Or does it from the top? How do visitors use it? Maybe some kinda of description will help me understanding your work.

star projector concept sketch comments

Reviewer 1:

The problems are the same in three sketches. It took me a while to think about what you are drawing and I'm still confused in the end. I assume there might be some controls that can rotate the cylinder in order to change the projection. However, it pretty unclear in the drawing.

Reviewer 2:

I like that stars are projected like a bunch of lasers pointing on the wall instead of the traditional projectors; its cool that you can see the beams from multiple angles. How does the projector actually work?

It appears the cylinder in the center rotates and displays different constellations.

Rotation would help to give the users the sensation of being deep in space.

The person using the console would have fun controlling the rotation of the stars.

Reviewer 3:

I do not understand this picture. Based on the previous two and the title, it is some sort of projector. I am not sure what the cylindrical think is in the middle of some sort of frame. It is also not clear what is ground, ceiling, or wall.

Client 4:

This could be neat -- I think something like this is how planetariums create this effect?

I'm not sure how easy this would be to fabricate -- perhaps these can be purchased?

Something to research for sure...

Reviewer 5:

So it is a regular projector that is hided in the ceiling? Visitors need to use the station to find the correct constellation. However, can you be more specific about how it should be working? I am confused here.

Overall concept sketch clarity and presentation

Reviewer 1:

It's really hard to understand what the three concepts are. I have to look at other teammates drawing and explanation to try to figure out what's these for. It would be better if there are some words beside the drawing to explain more in detail.

Reviewer 2:

There is no caption with these sketches explaining how these ideas would work or how the players would interact with them.

The website itself is very well done with a wonderful two tier navigation bar at the top and easy to use buttons.

Reviewer 3:

The lack of descriptions makes it difficult to understand what is happening in each sketch. Concepts 1 and 3 also needed more detail.

The design of the website was clean and easy enough to follow.

Client 4:

Sketches were fine, solid ideas.

I get the impression there was maybe some missing text?

Reviewer 5:

The organization of the website is very cool. However, if there is a front page and introduce the team, it will be very useful. Also, the team members have various design approaches, wish it could more uniformed. Such as the team come up with three things to designed, and each member will come up with an idea. All the team should propose one thing to be designed, and each member will come up with three different ideas.
