Quality and thoroughness of human-use analysis and improvement suggestions

Reviewer 1:

The analysis is considerate and thoughtful. I pretty appreciate the introduction part, which is guided and does behave like 'introduction for introduction'. Also, I enjoy the reference part since it provides detailed interview content. I appreciate the interview for this analysis.

The improvement is overall qualified. For the service of buying machine work solely, it provides convenient and friendly experience and solves the problem thoroughly. However, I strongly suspect the meaning of adding 'add funds' function into the machine. The tech cash machine works primarily for buying machine work. Residents already have convenient way to charge the tech cash, like via the phone. The additional 'add funds' function adds extra risks (eg. what if this function does not work halfway the user uses this function) and long waiting time for users in rush hour (imagine people waiting in line and waiting for the first user to finish the 'adding funds' operation). Therefore I do not support integrating this function into the machine cause it deviates the machine's primary objective and adds complexity of the system.

Reviewer 2:

The introduction provides nice background but feels lacking in regards to the "intended user experience" of the laundry room. This seems obvious but it would be good to clearly articulate it.

Noticing the detrimental location of the box was thorough as well as the detailed photo experience you provided.

Reviewer 3:

I thought your analysis was very thorough and thoughtful, especially the benefits, limitations and improvements. I also liked how you labeled on your images directly; it really helped compliment your text.

I thought it was really well done so I don't have too many big improvement suggestions, but it would have been nice for you to have included some quotes from the users you interviewed in the benefits and limitations section, and not just in your references. You mentioned you did some interviews and I so I was expecting to see some quotes. Quotes are also a really good way to quickly and effectively get a point across.

Another more nit-picky improvement suggestion I have is actually listing out (1, 2, 3...) the steps the user takes with the laundry Tech Cash machine. This would also help match the numbers you have on the images under it (I would also make those numbers a different colour because I didn't catch it until reading through your analysis for the third time).

Reviewer 4:

The analysis was clear and thorough. The pictures were well laid out on the page and illustrative, and the pages were easy to follow.

Improvement suggestions:

- I initially missed the user interviews, as I assumed the "References" section was citations. I think adjusting the title and moving it to after the "Experience" section would make the flow more logical and easier to follow.

- In redesigning the room, I really liked the idea to move the card swiper, but I had a little trouble getting the lay of the room. I think a blueprint or sketch of the layout from above would have been really helpful.

Clarity and presentation of human-use experience analysis

Reviewer 1:

It is good. Right font and image sizes, appropriate lengths of sub-page. It is easy to read and understand.

Only possible point to improve may be that the red marker of the new location seems too big.

Reviewer 2:

The layout and font are clean -- as a reader I would like a "next" option at the bottom of the text so that I don't have to scroll back up.

Nice bolding of the fonts for your own experience -- cheeky.

As far as improvements, for your mockups you already made the colored boxes with text, rather than copying and pasting a pixelated image it would improve your mock up substantially if you continued to make your own keypad.

Reviewer 3:

Beautiful and simple website, I found it extremely aesthetically pleasing! I really liked your menu at the top of the page that made it easily to navigate between sections. I also thought that there was a good balance between images and text; it's easy to overwhelm a reader with text and it seems like you made a conscious effort to balance it out with images.

A couple suggestions I have is to more clearly caption your images. It was slightly confusing for me to figure out which text went with which images at times. Also, sometimes there were multiple images that corresponded with the same image, which was also a bit confusing. This could maybe be fixed by giving and overall explanation of the group of images and then individually captioning them (a short and simple caption would work well at that point).

Reviewer 4:

The website was well laid out and easy to navigate. My one difficulty, as I mentioned above, was tracking down the user interviews on the website. Otherwise, simple and elegant presentation!
