Firstly I like the way your team documented your work on your concept models. First showing us some of the questions you wanted to explore through your models and then going on to preliminary models and then life-size models. Looking at your view from the tilted window, it's not clear from the video especially in the bubble video, that the bubbles are in fact tilted. It's also important to think through how to scale up the model for the next iteration if you do make one, especially how this gag can be applied to rolling the submarine like you said you had decided to so instead

The porthole is a really good idea if you can get it to work. The visuals that I could see during the demonstration could be convincing. They didn t really look like the porthole was underwater, but this could be accomplished in a lot of ways (like putting an actual tank of water between the porthole and screen. The bubbles conveyed the feel that there was water, but if that was all that I could see, it might not be as interesting as the scenes with fish or other seascapes. The simulation seemed to work well for the first tilt axis, but will be much harder to implement for the rolling motion. I would think that it might not be as convincing if the view through the porthole just moves up and down. To get around this, you might consider putting the porthole on the side of the room, so you would get a tilted image. There are already a lot of things on the side walls, so that might not work as well. The full system model also looked like it worked well. It was very good that you asked people to test out the room. The data from those experiments was convincing. I think that there could still be some safety issues with jolting people during the simulation, but Matt did not seem to mind much so they probably aren t that critical. Overall, well done.
