Feedback on experience depicted in the storyboard as an Open World Experience

Client 1:

This game seems a relatively simple. Can they do more than turn 3 dials? How can you get more players involved? Is this game now just a single unit? How long can you play this game for?

Reviewer 2:

Mixing colors seems cool. Would be good if the concept were more self evident without excessive description of what to do. Think about how to show the players rather than tell.

Reviewer 3:

I think part of the fun of the rooms is finding out what the challenge is. Maybe try changing the voice and note part such that the users aren't directly told what to do but can have more of a discovery experience? I think the overall difficulty level of the room is pretty low right now, so I wouldn't be worried about adding an extra aspect of mystery. (side note: I would use a different font for the body text! The one right now is hard to read.)

Reviewer 4:

It would have been nice if the storyboard could be redrawn to reflect the changes. Also, I was under the impression that the 5Wits folks would rather not use water due to maintenance/leak concerns. The sound effects and light effects fit in well with the theme.

Reviewer 5:

I thought this was a fun-sounding experience. Lights and color are always a good combination. I also appreciate the changes you've made to the original concept and I believe this makes the game more accessible to a wider audience.

Reviewer 6:

An aside: the font is kind of hard to read, albeit fitting for the theme. Perhaps as a title it would be more effective.

Because the rooms are open top in nature, having a dark room can be hard as dark as you want might be difficult. Although as long as your illumination of the three cubes are brighter than the ambient light I imagine it should be fine.

I like the mixing of color and light, especially because with light it's additive rather than subtractive color (i think) which will be a bit harder because it goes against primary color conventional color mixing wisdom.

Reviewer 7:

I like the theme for both rooms, and the Chinese New Year game room looks fun, but looks less engaging than your other room. I really liked the other room because the theming/decor of the room (pots) was used essential in the actual game.

Reviewer 8:

The storyboard is promising. The fact that it is based on colors however, is something I dislike because recognizing the color of something is very much dependent on the ambient environment and lighting. Moreover, this challenge would be unsuitable for persons who are colorblind.
