Innovativeness and potential of the product idea/user experience

Reviewer 1:

I'm not sure how this differs from small shipping boxes. Does the user create the size of the box some how? Current office supply stores sell small boxes. Perhaps have perforations or markings on the larger box which guides the user where to cut. I also don't see the connection to the "eco-office" theme, as having modular boxes might actually produce more scrap material.

Reviewer 2:

I don't understand how this differs from "sell smaller boxes", which doesn't seem very innovative. The paragraph at the beginning says the packaging is 'flexible' (I assume that means it can be many different sizes?), and that would be innovative.

Reviewer 3:

The need you are trying to fulfill is clear, but the execution is ambiguous.

Is this solution just a kit of lots of different box sizes and bubble wrap?

FedEx and other shipping companies already offer these solutions.

Needs something new.

Maybe have a box that can expand and contract to fit different sized objects through clever origami?

A new packing material that is reconfigurable?

A curable expanding foam that is water-soluble?

Reviewer 4:

Pretty good idea, I've faced this issue each time I've moved. I wonder that the real potential, though...its cool, but not an effect that can't be easily replicated, and the cardboard box and bubble wrap market aren't exactly high margin places to play.

Clarity and presentation of the product idea/user experience

Reviewer 1:

I like the presentation of the idea, however I think the clarity is lost around pane 5. From your storyboard, I understand the user need, but not the user experience. Perhaps adding a few panes to describe how the user determines what size a "modular" box should be (e.g. Do they ordered it that size? Do they cut an existing box that has perforations?). I think the illustrations do a great job of conveying a sense of space and proportions, but maybe adding the user in a few panes might convey how the user interacts with the product.

Reviewer 2:

Showing the current problem (broken small items) was compelling, as that exact thing has happened to me when moving.

However, I wanted to understand if the boxes had smaller compartments (like boxes ornaments are stored in) or were smaller boxes. Or, can the same materials be used to make many different sizes?

I think the presentation would have benefited from showing a user go through the process, maybe several times since the product sounds customizeable.

Short and sweet, nice pictures, really easy to follow. Well organized, good flow from one image to the next.
