Innovativeness and potential of Balance Challenge storyboard

Client 1:

How do you keep people from cheating the game by holding the scales level? How does it reset between groups? Are some of the objects permanently attached to the scales or can the scales be solved by removing everything?

Reviewer 2:

This is a cool idea. I can definitely imagine getting immersed in this challenge. I think by being clever about the weights of each object, there may be ways make this super tricky where only one combination solves the puzzle. This also seems like a good way to get multiple players involved.

One thing to consider, is how the game will be self-resetting. I can imagine the scales releasing or tipping in some way to drop the items on the floor, but in slide 4 the items are shown on a shelf. I don't think this is a dealbreaker, but just give that some more thoughts before advancing this project.

I love this idea. This is really cool! Just curious, how does it self-reset? It seems like the room will end with the final solution so not sure how that would work unless its an A-B state but otherwise really cool idea!

Innovativeness and potential of Pyramid Challenge storyboard

Client 1:

Sounds like a unique puzzle. How is it reset between groups?

Reviewer 2:

Another cool idea. Using the big pyramid pieces is a nice way to encourage teamwork. I like how you tied the theme to the details of the challenge here (hieroglyphics / matching the blocks).

My first thoughts are that this challenge may not be difficult enough. I think you can give some more thought on how to make this tricky (re: 25% success rate). Also, the later slides suggest that time is running out, but I didn't understand where that time pressure was coming from.

Lastly, consider self resetting nature of this challenge. Perhaps the table tips and spills the pieces?

Reviewer 3:

Yay teamwork. Also an awesome idea. Again self-resetting maybe a little difficult. The challenge does seem fairly simple.

Innovativeness and potential of Nile Challenge storyboard

Client 1:

We should avoid using water as it causes a maintenance issue.

Reviewer 2:

This is a clever concept and it has a lot going on. I think drought / water in the desert is a concept people can connect with. Since there are so many stations it may be tricky fitting everything into the room, but perhaps it can be done. The ball balancing challenge does seem like it may take some skill, while the other two are effort based. Is there an overall time limitation to make this game challenging? Or perhaps efforts need to be synchronized.

Reviewer 3:

I really like this! The physical aspect but seeing all the puzzle pieces like the plungers and the bike, you expect to have to do something with those but having it tied to a reason is awesome.

Storyboard design and website presentation and execution

Client 1:

The storyboards are well laid out and created, the website doesn't have a back button.

Reviewer 2:

Your storyboards are great! I thought the angles, zoom, etc of each frame were effective in highlights the main points and telling the story. Use of color was effective for bringing it to life. I think you used an effective degree of detail given the stage of the design process.

Your website is also very attractive. I like how the font ties into the overall theme along with the colors. I think you could improve the visual hierarchy upon arriving at the site though. Perhaps Ancient Egypt in large text would be good. In general though, I thought you did a really nice job with the site. Simple but effective.

The pdf viewer was a little bugged for me and I had to download it to view it but perhaps it was only me.

Reviewer 2:

I like this theme a lot and there's a ton of potential. The big things are making it challenging enough and being self-resetting. I think your team could have a lot of fun with the aesthetic design of this room as well.

Reviewer 3:

Yeah! It is awesome and I definitely think everyone has a deep fascination with ancient Egypt and this is a great theme to play off of. There's a bunch of ideas that you can incorporate as well. Just try to find a way to self-reset!
