Class Committees now in full swing

It's still not too late to join a committee! If you want to join one or have suggestions or comments, email the committee!

The Fundraising Committee <2001fundraising@mit.edu> has begun:

• planning several events to
• contacting local businesses to seek their sponsorship.

The Freshman Life Committee <2001life@mit.edu> is currently discussing alternatives and/or improvements to R/O and writing a letter outlining our take on all the recent proposed R/O changes to President Vest and the O/R Committee. We are also working on ideas on improving faculty-student interactions.

The Educational Policy Committee <2001ep@mit.edu> is currently working on:

• setting up a study-buddy network
• planning communications workshops over IAP, and
• outlining ideas on how to better inform freshmen on their performance in their classes.

The Social Committee <socialpeople @mit.edu> is dedicated to plan fun and interesting things for YOU to do! Join the Social Committee and take your social life into your own hands!

The Community Service Committee <2001community @mit.edu> is off to a quick start! Currently, we are organizing the Thanksgiving Food Drive to collect food for the needy. We will also be setting up a Freshman Volunteering Program in the near future.

The Publicity Committee <2001publicity@mit.edu> has survived publicity for the Faculty Mixer and is now working to:

• improve publicity for class events
• design the class webpage, and
• set up the class bulletin board.
