You can now try the Android app to do the drills from the online resources of the MIT Japanese Program website. It is especially convenient for listening and recording.

System Requirement

This app requires a mininmum version of Android 4.0.3 (Icecream Sandwich). It is mainly tested on version 4.3.

The storage requirement is about 300MB because the app includes all the audio files from the drills. This allows you to do the drills on the go even without wifi connection.

Version

Installation

Navigate to this website on your phone and click the Download button or scan the QR code to get the link to the apk file. If your phone asks you to allow installation of apps from unknown sources, click OK. We are not making it available on the Play Store yet because it is for MIT students to use now. Go to your download folder and click the "lango.apk" file to initiate the intallation if necessary.

Limitations

This is an early alpha version and there are still many limitations. For examples, currently the app is not updated if there are new drills added to the website version, and there are no multiple-choice questions.
