SP 1　 Polite Verbal Nominal

SP2 　sentence +とも

１　「私にこんな責任の重い仕事がちゃんとできるでしょうか。心配です。」

　　「もちろん、できますとも。」

　　 “I wonder if I can do this high responsibility job properly.　 I am worried.”

　　　　　 “Of course, you can!”

２　　　 島本先生は私にもプロジェクトをやらせてくれるかなあ。

　　　　　 やらせてくれるとも。

　　 “I wonder if Prof. Shimamoto will let me do the project, too.”

　　　　　 “Of course, he will.”　

　　

SP3　　 -がる

1 姉はスタンフォード大学に留学したがっている。

　　　　　　 My older sister wants to go abroad and study at Stanford.

２　　そんなに野球（やきゅう）を止めたがっているのなら、無理に続けさせない方がいいよ。止めさせてあげたら？

If he wants to quit baseball so much, it would be better if you didn’t force him to continue.　 Why don’t you let him quit?

３　　彼が欲（ほ）しがっている物をあげるのが一番いいでしょ？

　　 Wouldn’t it be the best if we give him what he wants most?

４　　　 そんなに恥(は)ずかしがらないで。

　　 Don’t be so shy.

　　 It appeared that the senior colleague wanted to have a little distance.
