| Tycho Brahe's most celebrated self-portrait
shows him directing operations at Uraniborg, framed by his great mural
quadrant. The middle tier contains rooms where his assistants are
engaged in printing and correcting works such as the Astronomiae
instauratae mechanica (Hamburg, 1598) for which this engraving
was designed.
