Story Notes:
Although I have tried to be historically accurate, I have not been able to be setting accurate. For a person like me, both are equally important but I was forced to choose between the two. Since this was mostly a historical story, I found that I could gloss over much of the setting, including language, clothing, currency, etc., without affecting the development overly much. I would have loved to include these elements in the story but found my research and writing time to be limited.

This being the first HTML story I have ever written, I wanted it to read like a book. I'm sure you'll have noted the lack of graphics, extraneous links, etc., that mark the typical web page on the internet in this day and age. I wanted an uninterrupted flow of story. Total immersion into the characters. Forgive me for my ego, but I'll write a story the way I feel it should be read.

The End.
