Dr. William Cutter, conductor
Yukiko Oba, assistant conductor and pianist
"After thirty years of programming, it was extremely difficult to choose music that would seem fitting for the occasion of my retirement from M.I.T. To narrow the enormous list of my “favorite things”, I decided to focus on themes that are universal and that are also of personal importance to me. The result was music and texts that spotlight themes of celebration, the importance of education, the scourge of war, and finally, the challenge of being true to your own vision."
