1. A state of west-central India on the Malabar Coast.
Formerly a Portuguese colony (1510-1961), it was annexed by India in 1962
and formed a constituent part of the union territory of Goa, Daman, and
Diu until 1987.
2. A type of electronic music; also known as psychedelic trance, or psy-trance.
