Upstairs, two brothers are manning the front desk; this desk checks ID's, signs people in, and organizes shift changes for the refreshment bars and the deejays. The party is slow for the first hour or so, but then people start showing up in hoards. The front desk is alternately swamped and deserted as the waves of people make their way in and out of the party. The dance floor downstairs goes from being virtually empty to packed in a little under an hour. Navigating through sweaty, pajama clad bodies to get to the bar is no easy task. At the bar, beer is making the bar top slick and shiny in the flashing lights. Everyone near the bar is holding a large plastic cup and taking deep swigs.
